Kiwanis club, who also sponsor Key club at the high school level. The main focus of CKI is to promote
community service,
leadership development, as well as
fellowship and friendship. CKI blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other college students around the world. Projects such as the Six Cents Initiative, CKI’s International fundraiser that aims to provide water to the 2.2 billion children worldwide who lack safe drinking water, bring CKI members together to make a difference in the world.

Service is the heart of CKI that sets it apart from other campus activities. Each year over 1 million hours of community service are done by CKI members worldwide.

Leadership opportunities allow members to step up to gain experience working in the real world through service, or through club leadership. They also provide valuable tools and influences towards becoming an active citizen.

Fellowship is a part of every aspect of CKI. Members develop lifelong friendships that strengthen daily through service and interaction and can gain strong relationships with Kiwanians, advisors, as well as with peers.

      CKI began in
1936 as a Kiwanis club service project to provide an opportunity for capable, ambitious, and worthy young men to acquire a college education by assisting them, where necessary, with their financial problems, by means of a scholarship fund, if available, or securing part-time employment. Soon after the concept of CKI was recognized and accepted, the element of community service was introduced, thus creating an appealing outlet for collegians around the globe.
      Today, as the
largest collegiate service organization, CKI boasts a membership of more than 12,600 collegians on more than 500 campuses worldwide. CKI is a
student-led organization with an International Board of Representatives elected by its membership each year. Embodied by its tenets of leadership, fellowship, and service at the club, district and International levels, CKI continues to grow through service to the world's campuses and communities.

      CKI operates on an
international,
sub-regional,
district,
divisional, and
club level. More than 12,600 members make up about 500 clubs in 30 districts and 18 nations, including Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, Malaysia, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, St. Lucia, Suriname, Taiwan and the United States.
Club
This level is comprised of members within a particular school or university. Here, a board of officers runs the operations of the club. A President, Administrative Vice President, Service Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary make up the Executive Board.
Division
Each club is part of a division, which is comprised of other clubs within a close demographic area.
District
Each club in a division then falls under a district which is usually bounded by state lines. During the annual district convention, delegates from all clubs in the district elect a Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publications Editor to service on the District Executive Board. A board of district chairs is then appointed in order to carry out specific district focuses and events throughout the year in which clubs from all over the district can participate and attend.
Sub-region
Every sub-region is a collective of several bordering districts based on size, demographic, and cultures. Every year at International Convention the sub-region elects a Representative to be the voice and bridge to international.
International
Of all 30 districts in the organization, they together comprise Circle K International. At this level, there is an International President and Vice President as well as 9 elected Sub-regional Representatives who carry out in the best interests of Circle K international as a whole, and for each individual sub-region.
