Fall Training Conference

Fall Training Conference, also known as
FTC, is known by some as the best event of the year. Taking place during
fall quarter in the mountains of
Sonora, CA., FTC has something for new and returning members regardless of how many times they've attended. Every year, hundreds of Circle K'ers travel far and wide all the way up to the mountains of Sonora to attend the magic that is Fall Training Conference. The event is a great opportunity for new members to meet and interact with the other Circle K clubs in the California-Nevada-Hawaii district. Members attend
informational workshops put on by their peers on every subject from Circle K 101 to Star Gazing, then relax by watching
campfire skits. As if all that were not enticing enough, there's even a great
dance put on at the end of the night, where Circle K'ers show off their wild side! Check out photos from 2010's FTC
here.
Crazy Kompetition for Infants

     Crazy Kompetition for Infants, or
CKI South, is an annual event that raises money for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) through an
Olympic style series of fun, competitive
mini-games and
relays. It is also usually the first district event of the year and takes place during
fall quarter. Members from the California-Nevada-Hawaii Circle K clubs will have the opportunity to create teams of six for a chance to be Crazy Komp CHAMPIONS! All the while, proceeds from team registration will benefit a great cause, the Pediatric Trauma Program! Check out photos from 2010's CKI South

District Large Scale Service Project

It's not a secret that individual Circle K clubs make magic happen every week with their many service projects. Imagine what we could accomplish if all the clubs in Cal-Nev-Ha were able to
gather for a weekend and do service together! Well, look no further for such an event, because the District Large Scale Service Project or
DLSSP, is just that! It usually takes place during
winter quarter. Last year, DLSSP saw Circle K'ers not only serve a hot and healthy meal at a soup kitchen, but we also got to renovate an entire elementary school! Tasks ranged from making goody bags for children, to cleaning playgrounds and hallways, to painting walls and world maps. In addition to doing service, DLSSP is an amazing opportunity to meet your counterparts at all the different schools in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Check out photos from 2011's DLSSP

District Convention

     District Convention, also known as
DCON, celebrates the end of the old and the beginning of the new Circle K year. Usually held at the beginning or end of Spring Break, right before
spring quarter, DCON spans 3 of the most intense days of the Circle K year. Like FTC, DCON hosts a wide variety of
workshops to help train the incoming Circle K board. But DCON does a lot more than that. Candidates for
District Executive Board positions caucus and ask for your vote, and are then
elected that same weekend. And of course there's plenty of messing around time. With activities like
Karaoke,
Rock Band,
DDR battles, and of course,
the dance, there are plenty of opportunities for members to bond not only within the club, but with members from all over California, Nevada, and even Hawaii. Check out photos from 2011's DCON
here.
These are just some of the events put on each year. District events are a wonderful way to meet other Circle K members from Cal-Nev-Ha. You definitely won't want to miss out on any of them!
